Graye's Dental Care was established by Richard and Jennifer Graye 20 years ago with a mission to provide the highest levels of service and dental care in a friendly, supportive environment.

Our team includes:

Richard Graye BDS (1986)
Richard is a native of Huddersfield and did his dental training with Jenny in Wales. He is certain that his rapid hair loss can be attributed to the experience of working in a practice full of women! Richard spends his spare time running around after his two children and helping out at Wakefield Hockey Club. As a keen motorcyclist, Richard enjoys nothing more in the summer months than a good blast round a race track - though he admits to usually getting overtaken by just about everyone and making James May seem positively Stig-like.

Jennifer Graye BDS (1987)
Hailing from Northern Ireland, Jenny came to Huddersfield for the better weather - and because she married Richard! If she wasn’t a dentist, Richard is certain she would be a shoe buyer for Harvey Nicks, though Jenny prefers to point to her skills as an interior designer. Outside of work, much of Jenny's time is taken up with ferrying her children round and supporting them in their various sporting endeavours.

New Consultant Dentist arrives September 2011
We are delighted to welcome Mr Derek Moore. He will be joining the practice as a specialist dentist. Derek is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry, which means he is qualified to treat patients with complex dental needs beyond the scope of general dental practitioners. Normally this type of dentistry is carried out in Dental teaching hospitals, meaning patients have to travel considerable distances. We are very fortunate to be able to offer this service at a more convenient location.
Derek provides a treatment planning and second opinion service for local dentists and patients as well as treating those with complex dental needs
His special area of interest is in helping patients who have difficulty with dentures or who require extensive oral rehabilitation. Derek has been a consultant at Leeds Dental Institute and currently works at Manchester Dental School. Derek accepts referrals from dentists and directly from patients all over Yorkshire.

Derek is originally from Scotland, but has made Huddersfield his home with his young family. Outside of dentistry Derek is a keen golfer.

Mandy Curtis, who is our Head registered Dental Nurse, has many years experience in dental practice and helps ensure the smooth running of Jenny's surgery. Mandy lives locally with her husband and daughter and in her spare time she enjoys socialising and yoga. During each summer she becomes a cricket groupie for a local team. We all agree - she also makes the best tea in the practice.

Cheryl Jackson is our Dental Therapist. As well as being a highly trained Hygienist, she is also qualified to perform other treatments such as fillings for adults and children. Cheryl also spearheads our preventative approach to dentistry. Commuting from Sheffield, Cheryl is at the practice from Wednesday through Friday. Outside of work she is a keen cyclist and the proud owner of a nutty King Charles spaniel.

Sinead Noble is the first person most patients meet on arrival at the practice - she manages our Reception and deals efficiently with the non-clinical aspects of running the practice. Sinead has recently qualified as a Dental Nurse and is rapidly becoming a complete all rounder. Being young she still has the energy to spend her weekends socialising.

At Graye's Dental Practice we provide complete dental care, from simple treatments and sound advice through to the most complex dentistry.

We are proud of the fact that we don’t need to advertise: our practice has grown from its humble beginnings 20 years ago completely through recommendation by our patients.
